ISTANBUL - Prince Joachim of Denmark said on Wednesday that Danish entrepreneurs who invested in Turkey grew, but there was still a big potential between Turkey and Denmark to strengthen economic relations.
Delivering a speech in the opening of Denmark-Turkey Business Forum, Prince Joachim said that he was honored to be in Turkey.
Prince Joachim said that Turkey was one of the countries which was a bridge between two continents and having very impressive and rich cultural wealthiness.
Prince Joachim said that Turkey presented very big opportunities to foreigners who wanted to make business with Turkish people who adapted in international milieu and was developing continuously.
Noting that bilateral relations between Turkey and Denmark were developing very consistently and trade relations doubled since 1999, Prince Joachim said that Danish public and private sector have becoming more active in Turkey, adding that bilateral relations were getting better and developing continuously.
Prince Joachim said that they aimed to provide exchange of view by bringing Turkish and Danish firms together.
Prince Joachim said that they aimed to further develop contact and cooperation on trade and investment issues. He added that Danish entrepreneurs already knew that there were important business opportunities in Turkey and they were growing and very pleased with this. However, he said, there was still a big potential to strengthen economic relations between two countries.
Prince Joachim said that Denmark was interested in development of Turkey's trade and investment, adding that Danish firms could be considered elite of the world especially in energy and environment sector. He said that modernization and liberation of Turkish energy and environment sector would increase investment opportunity in Turkey for future.
Noting that he believed that there was an important potential for dynamic interaction between Turkish and Danish firms, Prince Joachim said that there was a long and beautiful path for mutual beneficial and profitable cooperation for the future of two countries.
