ISTANBUL - Turkish Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan left for the United States on Tuesday.
Unakitan told reporters at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport that he would give a conference on Turkish economy upon the invitation of Ohio City University.
Stating that he would attend the meeting of finance ministers in Washington, Unakitan said that he would also meet with International Monetary Fund (IMF) officials.
Unakitan noted that after his meetings in the United States, he would fly to Britain and added that he would hold meetings with leading companies on privatization and Turkish economy in his meetings in the United States and Britain.
