"Panic Button" To Taxi Cabs In Antalya

ANTALYA - Thanks to the panic button that will be used in taxi cabs in southern city of Antalya for the first time in Turkey, cab drivers will be able to signal possible threats to the police. The police will be able to monitor the location of the cabs with Digital Powerline (DPL) technology.
The system that will be installed to taxi cabs with a project carried out jointly by Antalya Chamber of Drivers and a private company aims to prevent acts of usurpation directed towards cab drivers and secure the lives of both drivers and passengers, it was reported.
The system will be demonstrated to the public in the following days.
