ERDOGAN INCLUDED IN TIME'S LIST OF 100 ''WORLD'S MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE''
Time Magazine published its list of the 100 ''World's Most Influential People,'' including U.S. President George W. Bush, Brazil President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan. Famous Time magazine put Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in its list of World's Most Influential People. Erdogan was included in the ''leaders and revolutionists'' part of the list. British Prime Minister Tony Blair, French President Jacques Chirac and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder were not included in the list.
GUL: ''I THINK GREEK CYPRIOT SIDE WILL VOTE 'YES' TO ANNAN PLAN''
Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul has said that he thought that Greek Cypriot side would vote 'yes' to the U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan's plan on Cyprus in referenda which would be held in Cyprus on April 24 and added that otherwise Greek Cypriot side would face with isolation. Gul informed Justice and Development Party (AK Party) deputies about Cyprus issue in the meeting of AK Party in southern Antalya province on Sunday. Foreign Minister Gul stated that if Greek Cypriots would vote against the Annan plan, a new groundwork would be formed.

''TURKISH SOLDIERS WILL BE ABLE TO INTERVENE IN SOUTH''
Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said that they made Turkish troops' authority on intervention in south of the island put in the agreement. Gul said that if Greek Cypriot side would vote 'no' to the U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan's plan on Cyprus in referendum, Turkey would launch a campaign for recognition of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Stressing that the Annan plan would be end of enosis (union with Greece), Gul said that they made Turkish troops' authority on intervention in any incident which might occur in south of the island put in the agreement.
ERDOGAN REACTS TO KILLING OF HAMAS LEADER RANTISI
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan reacted to killing of Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi. Erdogan said that Israel was moving on the wrong path and stated that Israel attacked on peace with such actions. Stating that bloodshed should be stopped, Erdogan said that it was time to say 'stop' to such incidents.

COUNTRIES ANGER WITH 'STATE ASSASSINATION'
Countries harshly condemned killing of Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi in a missile strike of Israeli security forces. Many countries including Turkey condemned Israeli missile attack on Rantisi. However, the United States supported Israel. A statement of Turkish Foreign Ministry said that such illegal acts did not serve peace and tranquility in the region but increased violence and conflicts. An Israeli missile strike killed Rantisi on Saturday as he rode in his car. Rantisi's son Mohammed and a bodyguard were also killed in the attack.

TRNC PEOPLE EXTENDING EFFORTS FOR 'YES' IN SOUTH OF ISLAND
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) businessmen will put a notice in papers for increasing 'yes' in Greek Cypriot side. Cyprus has focused on referenda which will be held there at the weekend. People who will vote in favor of the U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan's plan on Cyprus are extending efforts to decrease votes against the Annan plan in Greek Cypriot side. Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce Chairman Ali Erel who will put notices in papers for vote in favor of the Annan plan said that balances could change in Cyprus in a week.

EUROPE MAKES PROMISE
Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said that if Greek Cypriots said 'no' to the Annan plan, European Union (EU) would also launch initiatives for lifting of embargoes.
Gul who returned from Ireland where he attended working lunch held as a part of Gymnich-Informal EU Foreign Ministerial meeting to Turkey said that he had seen great sympathy and determination about Cyprus issue in Gymnich-Informal EU Foreign Ministerial meeting held in Ireland.
Gul said, ''Turkey's position and position of two sides on the island before separate referendums in Cyprus were taken up in the meeting. What should be done if both sides say ''yes'' or north of the island says ''yes'' and the south says ''no''? Those were discussed comprehensively. This was the main agenda item of the meeting and it was as if the meeting was held for this issue.''
'YES' TO ANNAN PLAN REACHES 62 PERCENT
According to a survey which was conducted in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), 62 percent of people will vote in favor of the U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan's plan on Cyprus in referendum which will be held in Cyprus on April 24.
