ANKARA - The Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK) announced on Monday that the consumer prices rose by 0.02 percent and producer prices increased by 0.85 percent in August 2007.
As of August, annual inflation was calculated as 7.39 percent in Consumer Price Index (TUFE) and 3.72 percent in Producer Price Index (UFE).
TUFE increased by 3.13 percent and UFE rose by 3.93 percent in the first eight months of 2007.
Meanwhile, annual inflation based on average figures for the past 12 months as of August was 9.46 percent in consumer prices and 8.29 percent in producer prices.
