Brazilian Striker Washington Signs Contract With Konyaspor Of Turkey

KONYA - Brazilian striker Washington Luiz Mascarenhas signed a one-year contract with Konyaspor, a Turkcell Super League team in Turkey.
Speaking at the signature ceremony Ahmet San, president of Konyaspor soccer club, said that Washington would contribute to Konyaspor`s offense and help overcome the difficulties they have been experiencing in scoring.
On the other hand, Konyaspor`s new transfer Washington said he would work for the team`s success together with teammates.
"I will elevate Konyaspor. I am happy to be here," said Washington.
Later Washington signed the contract that tied him to Konyaspor for the 2007-2008 season.
