Sabanci's Water Brand Saka Reaches 350,000 Britons

ISTANBUL - Saka Su, a Sabanci Group company, delivered 4 million litres of water to 350,000 people in Britain after last July`s flood disaster in the country, it was reported on Monday.
In order to cover the urgent need that arose after the incident, Saka Su delivered water to the disaster area within less than 48 hours, through its British retailer Navson, the company said in a statement.
Saka Su, which tripled its exports to Britain in 2007, took part in 3 important events organized in the country this year as well.
The company, which acted as the sponsor of "British 10K London Run" marathon last July, also became the "only water brand" sold at the "Live Earth Concert" at London`s Wembley Stadium, as well as "Vfestival" and "Leedsfestival" held in August.
Saka Su envisages a 2 percent market share in Britain, sources said.
