GAZA CITY - Two Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip were lightly wounded on Sunday when the Israeli military targeted their car in the south of the territory, medics and the army said.
In the second Israeli air strike of the day inside the coastal strip, an Israeli aircraft fired at a car containing the militants near the southern town of Khan Yunis, medics and witnesses said.
Two members of the Islamic Jihad group were lightly wounded, medics said.
A spokesman for the Israeli army confirmed the strike, but did not provide any details.
Earlier Israeli helicopter gunships attacked a rocket launcher near the northern town of Beit Hanun without causing any casualties, witnesses and the army said.
Militants often fire rockets at Israel from the northern Gaza Strip, and the launch sites are frequent targets of Israeli retaliation.
