U.S. President Bush Congratulates Gul

WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. President George W. Bush called Turkish President Abdullah Gul on the phone and congratulated him on his election as president.
Bush underlined U.S. commitment to maintain strong relations with Turkey as a friendly and allied country, said White House spokesman Scott Stanzel.
