Greek Prime Minister Karamanlis Congratulates Gul

ATHENS - Prime Minister Konstandinos Karamanlis of Greece congratulated Abdullah Gul on his election as the 11th President of Turkey.
Sending a message to President Gul, Prime Minister Karamanlis expressed his hope that Turkey and Greece will further improve their bilateral relations on the basis of the international law.
Prime Minister Karamanlis also added that Greece wanted to work with Turkey to safeguard peace and stability in the region.
