Akkas Of Turkey Becomes 6th In Men's 3,000 M Hurdles In Japan

OSAKA - Halil Akkas of Turkey who was earlier announced as he finished 8th due to a mistake made by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) was ranked the sixth in the men's 3,000 m hurdles final at the 11th IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Osaka, Japan on Tuesday.
After Turkish executives warned IAAF officials that there was a mistake in regard to the results of the men's 3,000 m hurdles final, photo-finish was re-examined and it was found out that Akkas was ranked the 6th in the final.
