OSAKA - Halil Akkas of Turkey became the eighth in the men's 3,000 m hurdles final in the 11th IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Osaka, Japan on Tuesday.
Akkas ran 3,000 m at 8.22.95 and finished the final in the eighth place.
Brimin Kipruto of Kenya won the gold medal while Ezekiel Kemboi of the same country became the silver medalist. The bronze medalist was also a Kenyan named Richard Kipkemboi.
On the other hand, Nevin Yanit of Turkey could not reach women's 100 m hurdles final when she finished seventh in her semi-finals race.
