Voting Begins For Presidential Election At General Assembly

ANKARA - Members of Turkish parliament began casting their votes for the election of the country's 11th president at the general assembly on Tuesday.
The general assembly secured 456 MP, a number well over a quorum of 367 deputies to go ahead with the voting, Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan said before the voting.
Three candidates are running for the top post:
"Abdullah Gul from Justice and Development (AK) Party
Sabahattin Cakmakoglu from Nationalist Movement Party (MHP)
Tayfun Icli from Democratic Left Party (DSP)"
The candidate who will receive at least 276 votes will be the 11th president of the country.
