Ercakica: Preparations Under Way Regarding Talat - Papadopoulos Meeting

LEFKOSA - "Preparations are under way in regard to the meeting set to be held between Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Mehmet Ali Talat and Greek Cypriot administration leader Tassos Papadopoulos on September 5th. Talks will also be held with TRNC political parties on this matter," TRNC Presidential spokesman Hasan Ercakica said on Tuesday.
Ercakica told a weekly press conference that they hoped that this meeting would pave the way for a comprehensive solution.
In regard to forest fires in Greece, Ercakica noted, "we are deeply saddened over the matter. President Talat has been monitoring developments concerning forest fires in Greece. We hope that fires will be extinguished soon."
