TOKYO - Japanese people had different kind of love for Turkey, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday.
Erdogan attended a reception hosted in his honor by Turkey`s Ambassador to Japan Solmaz Unaydin.
Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan said in the reception that he was accompanied by many businessmen during his visit to Japan and defined his visit as a step to help Turkish entrepreneurs open abroad.
Erdogan noted that inflation rate was reduced from 30 to 18 percent after his government took over the post.
Turkish government would continue efforts to reach a year-end inflation rate target of 12 percent, Erdogan stated.
Erdogan pointed out that 2003 was the Year of Turkey in Japan but the activities were not only limited with 2003 and continued in 2004.
He would invite Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi to Turkey since no Japanese prime ministers had visited Turkey since 1990, Erdogan said.
Erdogan stressed that Turkey and Japan should increase reciprocal visits.
Meanwhile, Erdogan received Japanese Prince Tomohito Mikasa at the New Otani Hotel.
Erdogan left Turkey for Japan on Saturday.
Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan will hold a working meeting with delegation of Turkish businessmen on April 12. He will be received by Japanese Emperor Akihito and the Empress.
He will receive Itochu Company President Uichiro Niwa and Ishikawajima-Harima Company President Mototsugu Ito.
Prime Minister Erdogan is scheduled to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi later in the same day.
Following the meeting, Koizumi will host a banquet in honor of Prime Minister Erdogan.
On April 13, Prime Minister Erdogan will meet with Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan Yohei Kono and the House of Councilors President Hiroyuki Kurata.
He will meet with Turkish and Japanese businessmen at the New Otani Hotel.
Prime Minister Erdogan will attend the reception to be hosted on the occasion of Turkish-Japanese Friendship Association General Assembly Meeting.
He will proceed to Aichi to visit Toyota facilities on April 14.
After attending a briefing and a luncheon in Toyoto facilities, Erdogan will proceed to Osaka to meet with the mayor of Osaka.
Prime Minister Erdogan is expected to return to Turkey later in the same day.
