BAKU - Turkish State Minister Besir Atalay said on Saturday that Turkey always supported and would continue to support Azerbaijan in its problem with Armenia.
When asked what the view of Turkish government was on opening of Turkish-Armenian border, Atalay recalled that Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul made statement on this issue and noted, ''it is an important foreign policy issue. Our relations with Armenia are carried out with talks also with participation of Azerbaijan.''
Stating that Turkish government aimed to establish peaceful relations with its all neighbor countries, he said that decisions on those sorts of issues would be taken with Azerbaijan.
Atalay said that Turkey's support to Azerbaijan would continue and noted that those issues could also be discussed during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Ankara on April 13.
Turkish State Minister Atalay went to Azerbaijani capital Baku on Saturday to attend the opening of Ataturk Research Center. After the opening ceremony, he was received by Azerbaijani President Aliyev.
Atalay and accompanying delegation will return to Turkey on Sunday.
