Turkish - Moroccan Business Council Joint Meeting Held In Istanbul

ISTANBUL - Turkish-Moroccan Business Council joint meeting was held in Istanbul on Thursday.
Culture and Tourism Minister Erkan Mumcu and External Commerce Minister Mustapha Mechahouri of Morocco, Turkish-Moroccan Business Council Chairman Devrim Erol and Turkish-Moroccan Business Council Co-chairman Abdelhaq al Khettar participated in the meeting.
Delivering a speech in the meeting, Mumcu said that he believed that trade volume between Turkey and Morocco would reach 1 billion U.S. dollars with free trade agreement which was signed on Wednesday.
Mumcu said that a new period started in Turkish-Moroccan cooperation with agreements and protocols which were signed on Wednesday and noted that Turkish businessmen should search for direct investment possibilities in Morocco.
Mechahouri said that the agreement which was signed between the two countries on Wednesday would bring a new synergy to commercial and economic relations, stating that the two countries should further improve trade volume which amounted to 246 million U.S. dollars in 2003.
Mechahouri invited Turkish businessmen to make investment in Morocco.
