Turkish Agriculture Minister Guclu Meets With Azerbaijani Deputy Agriculture Minister Memmedov

ANKARA - Turkish Agriculture and Rural Affairs Minister Sami Guclu received on Thursday Azerbaijani Deputy Agriculture Minister Cahan Memmedov.
Memmedov recalled that Turkey and Azerbaijan signed a technical cooperation protocol on agriculture field in 1994 and stated that this protocol foresaw Turkey's support on agricultural machines and breeding studs.
Stating that agricultural machine park had 15-20 year old machines, Memmedov said that Turkish companies could restore this park.
Memmedov said that a fair on agricultural machines would be held in Azerbaijan between May 7 and 17 and noted that Turkish companies could join this fair.
Guclu said that Azerbaijani President will visit Turkey in April and noted that stronger steps should be taken in development of relations between Turkey and Turkish Republics.
He noted that they were ready for every kind of organization and effort to encourage Turkish companies to make investment in this country.
