LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat informed on Friday TRNC President Rauf Denktas about timetable and his meetings.
Following his meeting with Denktas, Talat told reporters, ''we discussed every issue. We have preliminary studies and duties on formation of institutions and organizations. We discussed those issues.'' Talat added that he also informed Denktas about his meetings that he would hold in Greek Cypriot side on Saturday.
Replying to a question, Talat said that he also informed Denktas about studies on the list of 45 thousand citizens which should be submitted to the U.N. Secretariat General in line with the timetable and stated, ''the list has not been completed yet. It is a very difficult work.''
Talat noted that he asked the U.N. for a one day delay for the list and added, ''it is not ready now. Our friends may finish it and there may be no need for any delay.''
Upon another question, Talat said that names of Turkish members who would work at Central Bank of federal government would be submitted to the U.N. Secretariat General on Friday and stated that but names were not definite.
Talat reiterated his wish for government partner Democrat Party (DP) to vote 'yes' to the Annan plan and stated that DP would take its own decision on the issue. He added that he respected its decision.
In regard to Denktas's demand for postponement of referendum, Talat said, ''it was (Greek Cypriot leader Tassos) Papadopoulos's idea. I think that it will not be a favorable thing.''
Talat said that what Papadopoulos who launched a campaign of 'no' to referendum did was a political suicide.
When asked whether or not there was any problem between Denktas and him, Talat said that there was not any problem and stated that they would carry out this process together.
Stating that he wanted to create a brand new Cyprus, he said that Turkish Cypriots should protect social integrity.
Talat added that he was invited to International Donors Conference that would be held on April 15 in Brussels to discuss economic aid for resolution of Cyprus issue.
