Talat To Go To Southern Cyprus On Saturday

LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas received TRNC Prime Minister and Republican Turkish Party (CTP) leader Mehmet Ali Talat on Friday.
No statement was issued on the meeting.
Meanwhile, Talat will go to southern Cyprus on Saturday and visit the Greek Cypriot government's big partner communist party AKEL and main opposition party DISI.
CTP officials said on Friday that a delegation headed by Talat would visit AKEL headquarters at 10.00 local time and DISI headquarters at noon and meet with officials of these parties.
Talat, who announced that he would visit southern Cyprus at a news conference two days ago, said that they would do their best for approval of the plan also by the Greek Cypriot side in the referendum on April 24 and he planned to pay this visit with this objective.
It will be the first ever visit by a TRNC Prime Minister to southern Cyprus.
