ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Japan between April 10 and 14, 2004.
Japanese Prince Tomohito Mikasa will visit Prime Minister Erdogan at the New Otani Hotel on April 11.
Erdogan will attend a reception at the Turkish Embassy in Tokyo, and meet with Turkish citizens living in Japan the same day.
Prime Minister Erdogan will hold a working meeting with delegation of Turkish businessmen on April 12.
Following his meeting with Prince and Princess Mikasa, Prime Minister Erdogan will be received by Japanese Emperor Akihito and the Empress.
He will receive Itochu Company President Uichiro Niwa and Ishikawajima-Harima Company President Mototsugu Ito.
Prime Minister Erdogan is scheduled to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi later in the same day.
Following the meeting, Koizumi will host a banquet in honor of Prime Minister Erdogan.
On April 13, Prime Minister Erdogan will meet with Japanese House of Representatives Chairman Yohei Kono and the House of Councillors President Hiroyuki Kurata.
He will meet with Turkish and Japanese businessmen at the New Otani Hotel.
Prime Minister Erdogan will attend the reception to be hosted on the occasion of Turkish-Japanese Friendship Association General Assembly Meeting.
He will proceed to Toyota City on April 14.
After attending a briefing and a luncheon in Toyoto City, Erdogan will proceed to Osaka to meet with the mayor of Osaka.
Prime Minister Erdogan is expected to return to Turkey later in the same day.
