ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Necdet Sezer met with President Rauf Denktas of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Tuesday.
The meeting at the Cankaya Presidential Office lasted for about 50 minutes.
Sezer and Denktas has decided to maintain their meetings and solidarity in the current sensitive level in order to reach the most beneficial result in efforts to find a solution to the Cyprus issue.
Releasing a statement, the Presidential Press Center said on Tuesday that President Sezer and President Denktas had exchanged views about the recent developments about the Cyprus issue during their meeting.
``President Sezer and President Denktas has decided to maintain their meetings and solidarity in the current sensitive level in order to reach the most beneficial result in efforts to find a solution to the Cyprus issue,`` the statement added.
ERDOGAN MEETS WITH DENKTAS
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with President Rauf Denktas of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Tuesday.
Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul was also in attendance at the meeting.
Erdogan and Denktas have assessed United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan`s plan, which was given its final shape during the four-party talks held in Buergenstock town of Switzerland.
Releasing a statement, the Prime Ministry Press Center said on Tuesday, ``President Denktas of TRNC and Prime Minister Erdogan exchanged views about the negotiation process aiming to find a fair and lasting solution to the Cyprus issue. Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul was also in attendance at the meeting.``
``During the meeting, President Denktas and Prime Minister Erdogan assessed both content and schedule of the Annan Plan, which was given its final shape during the four-party talks held in Buergenstock town of Switzerland,`` the statement added.
