Cicek: A Schedule About Cyprus Has Been Processing

ANKARA - ''A schedule about Cyprus has been processing. Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots will take the final decision. The Cyprus issue will be re-shaped under their decision. We hope that a beneficial result will be reached,'' Turkish Justice Minister and Government Spokesman Cemil Cicek said on Monday in a press conference.
Following meeting of the Council of Ministers, Cicek told reporters, ''Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will inform both the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) group and the parliament on recent developments in Cyprus tomorrow.''
''The Cyprus issue was high on agenda of today's meeting of the Council of Ministers. The facts about the island were discussed in detail. Foreign Minister Gul had made comprehensive statement at the meeting about the four-party talks in Switzerland. In fact, the talks have already been arranged as a text. This text was distributed to us. We assessed it and explained our view,'' he said.
Cicek told reporters, ''naturally, the Turkish side has always considered the Cyprus issue a national case. While the four-party talks were under way in Switzerland, we have continued to exchange views with members of the Turkish delegation and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) officials. A schedule has already been processing about the Cyprus issue. Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots will take the final decision. The Cyprus issue will be re-shaped under their decision. We hope that a beneficial result will be reached.''
Cicek reiterated that comprehensive statements would be made both at the AK Party group and the parliament about consequences of the four-party talks.
