Istanbul To Host Meeting Of Parliamentary Assembly Of Council Of Europe Presidential Committee

ANKARA - The meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Presidential Committee will be held in Istanbul between April 6 and 7, 2004.
Releasing a statement, the Turkish parliament said on Sunday that the meeting would start at Istanbul's Ritz-Carlton Hotel on April 6 with opening remarks by Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc, Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul and Parliamentary Assembly President Peter Schieder.
Council of Europe Secretary General Walter Schwimmer will also attend the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Sub-Committee on the Middle East will organize a colloquy on ''Dialogue between Europe and the Middle East'' at Istanbul's Ritz-Carlton Hotel on April 7.
