EDIRNE - Security forces intercepted 34 foreigners who were trying to cross the northwestern border illegally.
During their control at check-points in Meric and Ipsala towns of northwestern province of Edirne, gendarme teams captured 34 foreigners of Moldovan, Iranian, Chinese, Somalian, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, Iraqi, Mauritanian and South African origin.
Officials said those foreigners were planning to flee to several European countries via Greece after crossing the border illegally.
Officials said those foreigners would be deported.
