Erdogan: Iraq Is Like A Training Area For Terrorist Groups At Moment

KIEV - Iraq was like a training area for the terrorist groups at the moment, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday.
Erdogan, who is currently paying an official visit to Ukraine, met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych.
Following their meeting, Erdogan and Yanukovych held a joint press conference.
Erdogan noted that Turkey and Ukraine could make joint investments in energy, infrastructure and construction in Iraq.
Erdogan said that the current situation in Iraq ''did not give any hope.''
''Current developments in Iraq are not pleasing. We favor territorial integrity of Iraq and we are against pressure of one ethnic or religious group on another. Iraq is like a training area for terrorist groups at the moment. Therefore, a constitution should be adopted in Iraq as soon as possible and then, Iraq should complete its democratization process,'' Erdogan added.
Erdogan flew to Ukraine on Thursday. He was received earlier on Friday by Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma and later opened Ankara Square in Ukrainian capital Kiev.
Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan was decorated with honorary doctorate by the National Technical University of Ukraine Kiev Polytechnic Institute.
