ANKARA - Foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts increased 203 million U.S. dollars to 69 billion 812 million U.S. dollars between March 12 and March 19, 2004.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 69 billion 609 million U.S. dollars on March 5.
Foreign exchange deposits increased 155 million U.S. dollars to 52 billion 774 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits increased 61 million U.S. dollars to 50 billion 272 million U.S. dollars while external foreign exchange deposits increased 94 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 502 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market increased 77 million U.S. dollars to 589 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts dropped 176 million U.S. dollars to 16 billion 862 million U.S. dollars as of March 26.
