ANKARA - National Security Council (NSC) convened on Thursday under chairmanship of Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer.
Participants are discussing Cyprus issue in NSC meeting.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, who returned from Buergenstock, Switzerland to Turkey after joining Cyprus negotiations, also participated in the meeting.
Deputy Chief of General Staff Ilker Basbug, who is not a member of NSC, also attended the NSC meeting.
Erdogan and Gul had joined Cyprus negotiations in Buergenstock, Switzerland, at the end of which United Nations (U.N.) Secretary General Kofi Annan presented his final plan for Cyprus.
The final plan will be put to simultaneous referenda in both sides in the island on April 24.
