TIRANA - Turkish State Minister Besir Atalay, who is currently in Tirana, Albania, made on Wednesday the opening of Turkish Culture Center which was set up under Turcology Department of Foreign Languages Faculty of Tirana University.
Delivering a speech at the opening of Turkish Culture Center formed with contribution of Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), Atalay said that they were very pleased with students' learning Turkish language at Tirana University.
Atalay noted that their contribution to the university would continue and stated that they would provide students and lecturers with books about Turkey.
Paying attention to citizens of Albanian origin who were living in Turkey, he said, ''our relations with Albania will further improve. Students who study Turkish language there, will be envoys between the two countries. We will support this function.''
Albanian Economics Minister Anastas Angjeli said that students who learnt Turkish language would contribute to development of cultural relations between Turkey and Albania.
Officials said that 39 students studied at Turcology Department of Tirana University.
