Turkish Police Seize 4.4 Tons Of Base Morphine In Istanbul

ISTANBUL - Turkish police seized 4 tons 410 kilograms of base morphine in an operation staged in Esenyurt district of Istanbul, Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler announced on Wednesday.
Guler told a press conference at Istanbul Police Department that Istanbul police confiscated 4 tons 410 kilograms of base morphine hidden in a truck in an operation staged on a depot in Esenyurt district in Istanbul's Buyukcekmece town on March 29.
Istanbul police detained five people in connection with illicit drug trafficking, Guler stated.
