BUERGENSTOCK - The United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan is expected to submit final shape of his Cyprus plan to sides on Wednesday, while he is not expected to make very important changes in his plan.
Diplomatic sources said that sides completed their meetings on technical level at 04.00 a.m. before Annan presented final shape of his plan to sides.
Annan can invite sides within few hours to present his plan and leave time for them to examine the plan until evening in the coming process, noted sources.
Diplomatic sources said that Annan possibly would not make very important changes on the draft plan and added that if Annan made much changes on the plan, sides could have new objections and thus, the process could become more complicated.
Meanwhile, it is still not certain whether legal protection, on which Turkish side has been very sensitive from the beginning of the process, was provided or not. On the contrary to the European Union (EU), which accepted in principle to start the process of presenting the agreement to be reached to EU member countries' parliaments, Greek and Greek Cypriot sides are against this process.
It is still not certain whether Annan will ask for the signatures of sides and whether he will give his signature to sides after he presented the final shape of the plan. Greek and Greek Cypriot sides are not positive towards leaving Buergenstock after signing any document, while Turkish side has not taken a certain decision yet about this issue.
