Erdogan: Our Only Target Is To Reach A Positive Result At Cyprus Negotiations With Win-win Understanding

BUERGENSTOCK - Our only target at Cyprus negotiations is to reach a positive result with a ''win-win'' understanding, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday in a written statement. Erdogan added that they were moving on this path meticulously, carefully and determinedly.
Erdogan said that Turkish delegation in Buergenstock has been carried on negotiations by working day and night and stressed that this process continued also with his participation yesterday.
Emphasizing that they continued the process meticulously and seriously, Erdogan said that both Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul and deputies have been carried on negotiation process by working together day and night. He added that the process was continuing with his participation as of yesterday. He said that he had met with the United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan and Greek Prime Minister Costas Caramanlis yesterday.
Noting that Turkish authorities had met with U.N. expert delegation this morning, Erdogan said that Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) delegation was continuing this meeting.
ERDOGAN, CARAMANLIS, GUL AND MOLYVIATIS HAD A MEETING
Erdogan, Gul, Caramanlis and Greek Foreign Minister Petros Molyviatis had a meeting on Tuesday in Swiss resort of Buergenstock where Cyprus talks continue.
Sources noted that Erdogan also had a meeting with the European Union (EU) Commissioner for Enlargement Guenter Verheugen before the meeting with Greek side.
Meanwhile, U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan's Special Envoy to Cyprus Alvaro De Soto held separate meetings with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat and Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas and Greek Cypriot side leader Tassos Papadopoulos.
After this meeting, delegations had dinner separately.
Sources said that Greek side had a busy diplomatic traffic and noted that Molyviatis spoke to U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell by phone this evening.
Stating that Molyviatis and Powell assessed negotiations, sources added that Molyviatis told Powell that there was not any important development so far.
