WASHINGTON - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen, National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul and Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler will represent Turkey in the 23rd Annual Conference of the American Turkish Council (ATC) to be held in Washington next week.
Besides ministers, high-level military officials and bureaucrats, and many businessmen will join the conference to be held between April 5 and 7.
Turkish-U.S. relations will be discussed in the conference which will also be attended by high-level officials and business circles of the United States.
U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Richard Myers and U.S. Department of Defense Undersecretary for Policy Douglas Feith are expected to join the conference as speaker.
Participants will exchange views on diplomatic, political, commercial and cultural relations between two countries, developments in defense, energy, joint business opportunities, agriculture and communication in the 23rd Annual Conference of ATC.
Iraq, Cyprus and European Union (EU) are expected to top the agenda in this year's conference of American Turkish Council.
