Erdogan: Evaluations Of Our Cyprus Interlocutors On Election Results Is Important

ANKARA - Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that the evaluations of their interlocutors in Cyprus talks on election results were important.
Erdogan told a press conference that if their interlocutors see the people's support to the government, it would bring a very different attitude.
Erdogan said, ''Inshallah (God willing), our attendance would give an impetus to negotiations. We're going to Switzerland with good will.''
Erdogan said he would call U.S. President George W. Bush, German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and French President Jacques Chirac to discuss Cyprus before he flies to Switzerland. ''I'm going to ask for support so that the negotiations continue more positively.''
''We want to solve this problem, which has not been addressed for years. The solution of this problem would also have a positive effect on Turkish-Greek relations,'' he said. Erdogan said they had consensus on this point with Greek Prime Minister Costas Caramanlis.
Replying to another question, Erdogan said nobody should expect them to hold a surprise early election.
