Cetin: Results Of Meetings In Berlin And Brussels Will Help Making Nato Decisions Definite

KABUL - NATO's Senior Civilian Representative Hikmet Cetin in Afghanistan said on Thursday that the results that would be reached in Berlin and Brussels meetings on Afghanistan would help making NATO decisions definite.
Speaking to A.A correspondent, Cetin said foreign ministers of 60 countries were invited to the two-day Berlin Conference on March 31.
Cetin said aid that would be made to Afghanistan would also be discussed at the conference.
Cetin said Afghan Finance Minister Dr.Mohammad Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai made a seven-year feasibility study for the aid that would be made to Afghanistan, stressing that, ''this is a document calling for solution to economic and social issues. The 28 billion U.S. dollars, which is committed as the budget of Afghanistan, will be paid in seven years.''
Cetin said the aim of the aid made by NATO and international institutions was to see a democratic and independent Afghanistan purified from terrorism.
Cetin said Afghanistan should improve both in military and economic sense, yet peace would not prevail in Afghanistan unless the aid is not given to people.
Cetin said he did his best in Afghanistan as the NATO representative, stressing that he wanted to see an Afghanistan which learned lessons from the past.
