ANKARA - Foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts increased 164 million U.S. dollars to 69 billion 609 million U.S. dollars between March 5 and March 12, 2004.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 69 billion 445 million U.S. dollars on March 5.
Foreign exchange deposits dropped 324 million U.S. dollars to 52 billion 512 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits increased 107 million U.S. dollars to 52 billion 619 million U.S. dollars while external foreign exchange deposits dropped 34 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 408 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market increased 99 million U.S. dollars to 666 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts increased 48 million U.S. dollars to 17 billion 38 million U.S. dollars as of March 19.
