Industrial Production Increases By 10.8 Percent

ANKARA - The industrial production increased by 10.8 percent in the last quarter of 2003 over to the same period of the previous year.
The State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced on Thursday the result of the quarterly industrial production index for the fourth quarter of 2003.
According to the results, mining industry production increased by 3.5 percent; manufacturing industry production rose by 11.2 percent; and electricity, gas and water production climbed by 8.4 percent in the fourth quarter of 2003.
