ANKARA - The Southeast European Co-operation Process Parliament Speakers' Meeting will take place in Bosnia capital Sarajevo on March 27, 2004.
Deputy Parliament Speaker Ismail Alptekin will attend the meeting on behalf of Turkey.
The theme of the meeting was earlier announced as ''Parliamentary Aspect of Regional Co-operation under Integration Process of Southeast European Countries with the Rest of Europe''.
The meeting will start with opening remark of House of Representatives Chairman Nikola Spiric of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Alptekin will address the meeting referring to the issues of activation and development of co-operation process among the regional countries, efforts to preserve peace and stability in the Balkans and recent tension in Kosovo.
European Parliament President Pat Cox is also expected to attend the meeting.
A final statement will be released at the end of the meeting.
Alptekin is expected to return to Turkey on March 28.
