Prime Minister Erdogan To Pay A Visit To Ukraine In April

ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Ukraine in the beginning of April.
Erdogan who will be in Ukraine between April 1-4, 2004, will meet with Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn and Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych. He will also meet with Parliament Speaker Boris Deic and Prime Minister Sergei Kunitsin of autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The Taras Shevchenko State University of Ukraine and Crimean Engineering and Pedagogics University will award Prime Minister Erdogan with honorary doctorate.
Releasing a statement, the Prime Ministry Press Center said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Erdogan was scheduled to leave for Ukrainian capital Kiev on April 1.
An official welcoming ceremony will take place in honor of Prime Minister Erdogan.
He will start his meetings in Kiev by holding talks with Turkish businessmen acting in Ukraine.
On April 2, Prime Minister Erdogan will meet separately with Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn, Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych and Kiev Mayor Oleksandr Omelcenko.
Mayor Omelcenko will host a luncheon in honor of Erdogan the same day.
Prime Minister Erdogan will be awarded by the Taras Shevchenko State University of Ukraine with its honorary doctorate.
After addressing the Turkey-Ukraine Business Council at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Prime Minister Erdogan will partake in the banquet to be hosted in his honor by his Ukrainian counterpart Yanukovych.
Prime Minister Erdogan will start the third day of his visit by visiting the Unknown Soldier Monument.
After visiting Kiev's Pecherskaya Lavra, the underground caves of the ancient Christians which was included in the list of cultural heritages of the world by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Prime Minister Erdogan will proceed from Kiev to Dnipropetrovsk. He will visit the Dnipropetrovsk-based PivdenMash rocket and satellite production plant.
Later, Prime Minister Erdogan will proceed to Simferepol to meet with Parliament Speaker Boris Deic and Prime Minister Sergei Kunitsin of autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The Crimean Engineering and Pedagogics University will award Prime Minister Erdogan with honorary doctorate.
After visiting caravansaries, mosques and the other historical places, Prime Minister Erdogan will meet with Mustafa Cemilev, the leader of Crimean Tatar community.
Prime Minister Erdogan is expected to return to Turkey on Sunday.
