ANKARA - Turkish State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener and Economic Affairs Minister Tea Petrin of Slovenia signed Turkey-Slovenia Joint Economic Commission (JEC) Protocol on Tuesday.
State Minister Sener said that the deficiency in legal infrastructure was eliminated with JEC Protocol which was signed between Turkey and Slovenia.
Sener said that there were very few joint investments between two countries and added there was no registered capital which was exported from Turkey to Slovenia at the moment and only two Slovene firms were functioning in Turkey. He said that they believed that joint investments should certainly be increased to make a permanent economic cooperation between two countries.
Noting that the deficiency in legal infrastructure was eliminated in this field with the protocol, Sener said that they were expecting the businessmen to use the reliable working milieu which would be provided by legal infrastructure in the next period and to evaluate joint investment facilities in two countries.
Sener said that Turkish government would support the activities of Turkish businessmen in this field.
Sener said that JEC Protocol would not only strengthen the existing good relations between Turkey and Slovenia, but also contribute to further development of commercial and economic relations in the future.
Slovene Minister Petrin said that Slovenia gave full support to Turkey's membership to the European Union (EU).
Petrin said that the protocol reinforced the existing relations between two countries and added that they would hold an organization meeting to bring Slovene businessmen to Turkey in a short time.
Petrin said that Slovenia would be an exit door for Turkish businessmen.
