Foreign Minister Gul Leaves For Switzerland

ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul left on Tuesday for Switzerland to attend the four-way talks on Cyprus issue.
Prior to his departure, Gul recalled that four-way talks would start on Wednesday and stated that Turkey would do its utmost for settlement of lasting peace.
''We hope that Turkey and Greece, as two motherlands, will exert efforts and provide settlement of a united Cyprus which protects interests of both societies on the island,'' he noted.
Stating that he explained the points to which Turkey attached great importance on several occasions, Gul added that they were not in an effort for a solution at any cost.
