ISLAMABAD - Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on Friday accepted a court ruling reinstating the country's suspended chief justice, saying it would be honoured and respected, his spokesman told AFP.
The Supreme Court overturned the ouster of top judge Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and quashed misconduct charges filed against him four months ago by military ruler Musharraf.
"The president has said the judgement of the Supreme Court will be honoured, respected, and adhered to," his spokesman, retired Major General Rashid Qureshi, told AFP.
