Security Forces Impound 12.2 Kg Of Heroin In Hakkari

HAKKARI - Security forces impounded 12.2 kg of heroin in an operation in Yuksekova town of eastern province of Hakkari on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, security forces stopped and searched an automobile.
During the search, 12.2 kg of heroin hidden in secret parts of the vehicle was confiscated.
Three people were detained in the operation.
Sources said that market value of the heroin was about 220 thousand U.S. dollars.
A full investigation into illicit drug trafficking is under way.
