ISTANBUL - Foreign Minister Celso Amorim of Brazil departed from Turkey late on Saturday.
Amorim paid a visit to Turkey as the guest of Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul.
Brazilian Foreign Minister Amorim was received by Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and met with Turkish Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Commission Chairman Mehmet Dulger and Turkish Foreign Minister Gul on Friday.
Gul and Amorim held a joint press conference following their tete-a-tete meeting.
Visit of Amorim to Turkey would add a new momentum to bilateral relations, Gul stressed in the press conference.
Amorim expressed wish to improve bilateral relations with Turkey and said that two countries could cooperate in aviation, maritime, transportation and tourism.
