MILAS - The forest fire in Milas town of the western city of Mugla has been taken under control.
Mugla Governor Lutfi Yigenoglu said that the fire was taken under control as a result of efforts by fire-fighters, trucks, nine helicopters and five airplanes.
Five people were injured in the fire. One of them is in life-threatening condition.
Dozens of animals perished in the forest fire and 200 hectares of wooded area burnt down to ashes.
Meanwhile, the forest fire in Bodrum town of Mugla was partially taken under control. The fire damaged 120 hectares of wooded area.
