ANKARA - "Petkim (Turkish Petrochemical Holding) was sold for a price higher than its actual value," said Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday. "It is unfortunate to see objections to the sale of Petkim," noted Erdogan.
Erdogan appeared on Turkish Samanyolu tv channel in a news program on Saturday.
"The government is not preoccupied with business. The government only gives directions and observes. The free market goes on by itself without interference by the government. Such an attitude will bring to Turkey new tax income, new technology and new investments," stressed Erdogan.
