FOREIGN MINISTRY: ''WE BELIEVE THAT ALL THE SIDES SHOULD ACT WITH RESTRAINT''

ANKARA - All the sides should act with restraint to prevent the incidents from reaching to dimensions threatening stability and security of the region, Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
Foreign Ministry issued a written statement and expressed concern over acts of violence in Kosovo recently, causing deaths and financial damage.
The statement said it was important that all the communities in Kosovo should refrain from acts that would damage atmosphere of compromise and mutual tolerance, at a time when a pleasing opening was in question in Belgrade-Pristina dialogue process.
The statement said, ''we believe that the sides should not be incited by the extreme elements to preserve the tranquility that is on sensitive balances which the international community exert great efforts to maintain. We also believe that the sides should act with restraint to prevent the incidents from reaching dimensions that would threaten stability and security of the region.''
The statement said Turkey would continue its contributions and support to the efforts of the international community in this respect.
