ANKARA - Foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts dropped 648 million U.S. dollars to 69 billion 445 million U.S. dollars between February 27 and March 5, 2004.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 70 billion 93 million U.S. dollars on February 27.
Foreign exchange deposits dropped 324 million U.S. dollars to 52 billion 512 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits reduced 168 million U.S. dollars to 50 billion 70 million U.S. dollars while external foreign exchange deposits dropped 156 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 442 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market reduced 88 million U.S. dollars to 576 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts increased 56 million U.S. dollars to 16 billion 990 million U.S. dollars as of March 12.
