ISTANBUL - International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Director Willy Kiekens has said that as the IMF, they would do their best for increase in direct foreign investment flow to Turkey.
Speaking to the A.A correspondent after the Investment Advisory Council meeting in Istanbul, Kiekens said that as the IMF, they had informed all CEOs who attended the meeting on economic developments in Turkey.
Willy Kiekens said that they had made a presentation to CEOs particularly about implementation of the IMF-backed economic program and positive trend in macroeconomic figures.
Noting that opinions and proposals of CEOs of the leading companies in the world had been taken in detail and they had been noted at the meeting, Kiekens said that he believed the meeting would bring quite concrete results if the government put into practice the results of the meeting.
Stressing that a sound economic program was an important factor for foreign capital inflow, Kiekens added that CEOs had expressed their pleasure with successful maintenance of the IMF-backed economic program in Turkey.
