ANKARA - Treasury sold on Monday 91-day discounted reference bonds denominated in Turkish lira (TL).
The total bid had been 1 quadrillion 492.8 trillion TL in the auction while the Treasury sold 1 quadrillion 405.5 trillion TL of nominal-valued bonds.
The net sale became 1 quadrillion 332 trillion TL in the auction.
The composite interest rate became 23.95 percent while the simple interest rate became 22.06 percent.
The bonds will be issued on March 17, 2003 and repaid on June 16, 2004.
Meanwhile, the Treasury will sell on Tuesday state notes denominated in TL with a coupon payment of once in three months. The state notes will be issued on March 17, 2004 and repaid on March 15, 2006.
The first coupon will be repaid on June 16, 2004.
In its last auction on March 1, the Treasury sold 2 quadrillion 907 trillion TL of nominal-valued 539-day discounted state notes denominated in TL.
The total bid had been 4 quadrillion 274 trillion TL in the auction.
The net sale became 2 quadrillion 103.9 trillion TL.
The composite interest rate in the auction was 24.40 percent.
Treasury will repay 169 million U.S. dollars in foreign debt and 3 quadrillion 809 trillion TL in domestic debt this week.
